MOST EXPENSIVE SHOES IN THE WORLD

Cinderella Slippers designed by Stuart Weizman is the Worlds most expensive shoes and costs around £1,278,614. It is a four and a half inch stiletto which is set in 595 carat platinum set Kwait diamonds. They were worn by the famous singer Alison Krauss at an Oscar ceremony. The celebrity designs shoes that are of international standards and are usually adorned by celebrities. Weizman is known to have a rare eye for beauty and creates shoes that are seen in fairy tales. He creates around 300 designer shoes and handbags in a year. This expensive shoe take about 14-15 weeks to produce, each pair taking about six weeks involving 80-odd craftsmen to make the product.

The other expensive shoe made by him is a red designer shoes which is studded with 690 rubies. The red ruby slipper was woven out with platinum thread and 464 diamonds set in a platinum back drop, these were worn by Mullholand Drive actress Laura Harring. The theme was picked up being inspired by the red shoes worn by Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ.

A pair of Alligator boots which were designed by Monolo Blahnik cost around £9430. This boots is the most expensive shoe of the year 2008. Sergio Rossi, Tall Shaft boots are made up of patent leather and looks elegant.

The Le Vian evening shoes designed by Stuart Weizman are made of silver leather which is set with 200 carats of precious stones. All along the ankle bracelet, over 185 carat tanzanite gemstones are stringed together. The front strap is studded with 28 carat diamonds. The Harry Winstons ruby slippers cost around £2.5 million; it was designed by Ronold Winston. He used around 4,600 rubies which comes up to 1,350 carats and 50 carats of diamonds. These shoes were made in the year 1989 and were deemed the most expensive.
